Pfc. Eric D. Currier, 21, of Londonderry, N.H., died Feb. 17, 2010 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

These flags and banner were placed in honor of Marine PFC Eric D. Currier on the Howe Street overpass over RT 213 in Methuen, MA, exit 3. This tribute will stay on the overpass bridge until the beginning of April but the banner will be moved inside the bridge this weekend for safety reasons.

As of February 11, 2010 NECFOM has shipped 26,705 care packages containing products valued over $729,000 to our deployed troops.
Additionally, NECFOM has mailed more than 63,930 cards and letters to our troops utilizing more than 18,480 volunteers made up of students and civic organizations throughout the New England area. NECFOM supports our troops by organizing troop drives within schools and civic organizations throughout the New England states supporting all military personnel around the globe.
NECFOM offers to assist any military family in Massachusetts and New Hampshire that are notified that they have lost a member of their family while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces while on active duty.
NECFOM will assist in all aspects of the funeral planning including obtaining a caisson, designing and making the funeral program, organizing a mercy meal for after the funeral and many other aspects of a military funeral. The funerals that NECFOM has assisted in have all been done free of charge with no expenses made to the family. Since 2007, we have helped the family of SSG Alex R. Jimenez and SPC Byron Fouty who were both KIA after being MIA/POW in Iraq for more than 14 months. Since then we have been honored to have helped the families of SSG Edmond Lo of Salem, NH and SGT Juan Carlos Guzman of Lawrence, MA.
